Dealer & fleet transport
Dealer auto transport covers dealer trades, auction pickups, off-lease and rental returns, and corporate fleet moves. Several vehicles on one lane often price lower per unit because the carrier fills more of the trailer per stop, though by no fixed percentage; the actual multi-car price comes from the licensed broker your quote request goes to. Why multi-car loads often cost less per unit
Much of a carrier’s cost is the trip itself: the miles, the stops and the loading time. Three vehicles from one Houston dealership to one Atlanta store fill several slots on one trailer with a single pickup and a single delivery, so the per-unit price often drops, though how much depends on the truck and the week. Super Dispatch’s State of Auto Transport report (June 2026), covering 2025 moves on its platform, found single-VIN prices rose through 2025 while multi-VIN prices were flat to nearly 3% lower.
The multi-vehicle estimator prices each vehicle as if it shipped alone and sums them, as a reference rather than a price ceiling; the broker quotes the load as a whole.
What dealer transport covers
Dealer trades and swaps, pickups from Manheim, ADESA, Copart and IAAI arranged around the gate release, off-lease and rental fleet returns, demo and loaner rotations, and employee relocations. Have the VINs, run status, pickup and delivery addresses and any release documents ready for the broker so each vehicle is priced and matched to the right equipment.

From estimate to delivery
What happens after you ask for a quote, whichever service you choose.
Get your estimate
Enter ZIPs and vehicle details. You see a typical price range instantly, before you share contact information.
Request a quote
If you want a quote, your request goes to our licensed transport partner, an FMCSA-licensed auto transport broker. We send it to that one broker only, never to a list of companies.
Price, dates and carrier
Our licensed transport partner contacts you to confirm the actual price, pickup dates and vehicle details, then books the shipment and assigns an FMCSA-registered carrier. Ask about deposits and payment terms before you book.
Pickup and delivery
The assigned carrier usually calls 12–24 hours ahead. You both sign a Bill of Lading with a condition report at pickup, then check the car against it at delivery. Most shipments arrive in 2–10 days.

Dealer & fleet transport FAQ
Is there a minimum for multi-car pricing?
Our estimates have no minimum: the multi-vehicle estimator prices each car on its own and sums them. Several vehicles on the same lane in the same week often price lower per unit because the carrier fills more of the trailer per stop; the broker quotes the load as a whole.
How are gate releases and auction fees handled?
Give the broker the buyer number and lot numbers when it contacts you, and pickup is arranged around the release. Auction fees are paid by the buyer directly to the auction before it releases the vehicle.
How do dealers pay?
Payment terms are set by the broker that books the load and by the carrier, not by HaulFare, which takes no payment. Ask the broker when any fee is charged, whether a deposit is refundable, and how the carrier balance is paid at delivery.
How do damage claims work for dealer loads?
Record each vehicle’s condition on the Bill of Lading with photos at pickup and delivery; a printable condition report is free to use. Before pickup, ask the broker for the assigned carrier’s cargo insurance certificate for each load. A damage claim is made against the carrier’s cargo insurance, not against HaulFare; ask the broker that booked the shipment how it supports claims, and keep the Bill of Lading notes and photos as evidence.
