Effective October 13, 2026. This policy explains how HaulFare ("HaulFare", "we") handles personal information collected through https://www.haulfare.com and related calls, texts and emails.
Information we collect
- Quote requests: name, email, phone number, pickup and delivery ZIP codes, vehicle year, make, model and type, whether it runs, open or enclosed transport, preferred ship date.
- Consent records: whether you checked the consent box, the exact text shown and its version, date and time, IP address, browser user agent, page URL, form version and, where enabled, an independent TrustedForm certificate of the form session.
- Attribution: landing page, referrer, campaign parameters in the link you followed (UTM tags, and click identifiers if a link carries them) and, only if you allow analytics, a random visit identifier stored in your browser.
- Phone checks: the line type and carrier returned by our phone-validation provider.
- Tool usage: the tools run in your browser. The cost calculator sends an anonymous record (ZIP prefixes, vehicle type, transport type, month) with no contact details.
- Analytics and logs: Google Analytics 4 if you allow analytics (it does not log or store IP addresses) and our web server's request logs, kept for security and debugging.
- Messages: what you send us by form, email, text or phone, including opt-out requests.
How we use it
- To give estimates, send your quote request to our transport partner (below), validate phone numbers, and communicate about your request.
- If you checked the consent box: the transport partner and we may contact you by automated calls, texts and prerecorded voicemails as described in that consent. If you did not, you are contacted only by personal, manually dialed calls and email about your request.
- To prevent fraud and abuse (an automatic bot check on the forms, rate limits, phone line-type checks).
- To measure and improve the site, including A/B tests of page layouts.
- To comply with law, including keeping consent and opt-out records.
Who we share it with
- Our transport partner: when you submit the quote form, we send your request (name, phone, email, pickup and delivery ZIP codes, vehicle, dates, notes, and whether you checked the consent box) to our licensed transport partner, an FMCSA-licensed auto transport broker, the one licensed broker we refer quote requests to, so it can contact you, quote and, if you choose, book your shipment. The partner handles your information under its own privacy policy. HaulFare receives a referral fee from the partner for referrals. If you book, the partner shares with the carrier it assigns what the carrier needs to move your vehicle.
- Service providers acting on our instructions: hosting and database (our web host), CRM, telephony and SMS (Twilio), email delivery (Resend), consent certification (ActiveProspect TrustedForm), and website analytics (Google Analytics, only if you allow it).
- No advertising platforms: we do not run advertising campaigns, and we do not send your contact details or quote information to any advertising platform. Google Analytics runs only if you allow analytics, with advertising features off.
- Legal: when required by law or to protect rights and safety.
We send your quote request to one transport partner only, because you ask us to when you submit the form. We do not otherwise sell or rent personal information, and we never pass quote requests to other brokers or lead buyers. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes; SMS data is shared only with the providers that deliver our messages.
Calls, texts and opting out
You can revoke consent to calls and texts by any reasonable method: reply STOP (or any similar wording) to a text, tell the person who calls you, email quotes@haulfare.com, or use haulfare.com/opt-out. We process opt-outs within 10 business days as the FCC requires, and immediately where our systems allow, and we pass every opt-out to the transport partner. Details: Consent and communications.
Retention
Quote records are kept for five years and then deleted or anonymized. Consent records and opt-out records are kept for as long as needed to comply with telemarketing law and to defend legal claims, which can be longer than five years and survives a deletion request. Anonymous tool and analytics data is kept in aggregate.
Your rights
Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and others) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of sale, sharing for targeted advertising, or profiling. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sharing, and as a choice to keep analytics off. To make a request, email quotes@haulfare.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. We verify identity by matching the email or phone on file, respond within 45 days, and log every request. Deletion removes your quote and contact records from our systems, except consent and opt-out records we must keep, and we forward the request to the transport partner, which handles it under its own policy. You may appeal a decision by replying to our response.
Cookies and browser storage
We keep what the site needs to work in your browser (your theme, your cookie choice, the quote form while you fill it in, and the page that brought you here) and, only if you allow it, analytics. We do not use advertising or social media cookies. Our Cookie policy lists every item and how long it is kept, and you can accept, reject or change your choice at any time in cookie settings.
Security and location
Data is sent over TLS and stored on our web host's servers in the United States. Access is limited to staff and providers who need it. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected people and regulators of a breach as the law requires.
Children
The site is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
